So, yesterday Tumblr decided to rock everyone’s world and launched several updates that I don’t even need to list because everybody has already seen it.
If you haven’t checked yet, go to the front page NOW and have fun reblogging.
As for me, since I made this blog to share my Digital Crushes its only fair that I declare my super crush on Tumblr right now. Besides, three four five six seven I don’t know how many of my posts made it to the Radar. It has been fun. :)
6emeia is an urban intervention project that transforms storm drains and sewers into fantastic works of art in São Paulo.
TaskWatch is a whiteboard with a clock so people can write notes and tasks associated with the hours of the day. By ArtLevDev Studio.
I’ve received an e-mail today asking me about my tumblr pic. So here it goes:
The photo belongs to my all-time favourite set on flickr. We took them after a party. I took the ones from them and Camila (top left) took mine (thus the slightly different angle). No special lights, cameras or makeup involved. Just four girls, a chair and a sony cybershot. That’s it. :)
Folders campaign turned manholes in NYC into steaming cups of coffee (by Saatchi & Saachti).
‘Promise Me Forever’ is a series of photographs inspired in romance novel covers by Kent Rogowski.
“I am interested in the narrative elements of these mass produced covers - how an entire story is illustrated and explained by a single image.”
I’d really like to know more about this packaging design…
I have no idea if the banana juice tastes good (rumour has it it’s kinda salty), but this packaging is really amazing. It was designed by Naoto Fukasawa, a very popular designer in Japan. He has his own brand called ±0 - Plus minus zero. Also, apparently, the juicy company is extending this theme to other fruits, each one will have different color, size, texture as you can see here (the content is in russian so I couldn’t understand anything else, sorry!).
The Heartbreak Necklace by Frank Tjepkema.
The fragile porcelain heart can be cracked with the attached titanium hammer. It won’t fall apart completely because the thin layer of porcelain is bonded to a rubber interior. And just like real life each heart will break in an unique way making an exclusive piece of jewelry.
Artwork by Mike Monteiro.
The best thing about this are the tags ‘kittens’, ‘rainbows’ and ‘lollipops’.
